Character cannot bemanufactured.
Color may begin the process, but it is never the only consideration. Material, age, typography, scale, wear, texture, and tonal variation all influence whether a book belongs in a collection.
The goal is not perfect uniformity. It is a composition that feels as though it developed naturally over time.
